Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Polaris (owner of Victory, Indian & Polaris) Reports Record 2011 Fourth Quarter and Full Year Results Fourth Quarter and Full Year Highlights:
Fourth quarter 2011 earnings per diluted share increased 15% to a record $0.90 with sales increasing 26% from the year earlier period to a record $782.0 million. All product lines experienced increased sales and market share for the full year 2011. International sales increased 43% in the fourth quarter 2011 and 39% for full year 2011 despite a volatile European economic environment. Full year 2011 earnings per diluted share increased 50% to a record $3.20 with record sales of $2,656.9 million, an increase of 33% from the 2010 full year. Full year 2011 gross profit margins improved 130 basis points over 2010.

January 24, 2012 -- Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) reported a strong finish to 2011, with improved fourth-quarter performance capping a year of earnings and dealer retail sales growth.
Income from continuing operations was $54.6 million, or $0.24 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2011, compared to a loss of $42.1 million, or $0.18 per share from continuing operations in the year-ago quarter. For the full year 2011, income from continuing operations more than doubled to $548.1 million, or $2.33 per share, compared to income of $259.7 million, or $1.11 per share, from continuing operations in 2010. Retail sales of new Harley-Davidson motorcycles grew 10.9 percent worldwide in the fourth quarter compared to the prior-year period, including an 11.8 percent increase in the U.S. For the full year 2011, new Harley-Davidson motorcycle retail sales rose 5.9 percent worldwide and 5.8 percent in the U.S.

Polaris Announces Investment in Electric Motorcycle Company Powersports Leader Acquires an Interest in Electric Motorcycle Leader MINNEAPOLIS, Oct 26, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII) today announced a minority investment in Brammo, an Ashland, Oregon-based maker of electric vehicle technology and two-wheel electric vehicles. By investing in Brammo, Polaris obtains access to their proprietary electric vehicle powertrain technology, as well as exposure to the rapidly growing electric motorcycle market.

8th Sep 2011. Harley-Davidson Inc announced: Its board of directors approved a dividend payment of 0.125 cents per share for the third quarter of 2011. The dividend is payable on Oct 14th to shareholders of the companys common stock on Sep 30th 2011.

6th Sep 2011. Polaris Announce Special Limited Edition Indian Chief Vintage. To celebrate the 110th year of Indian motorcycle production Polaris have announced that they will build a limited edition of 110 Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycles. Similar in specification to the Kings Mountain Indian motorcycles these very special limited edition models will become available in Dec 2011.

Polaris announce the New Indian range for 2012. Based on the Kings Mountain Indians the range of models will be consolidated to the 3 models shown below. These are expected to be available in the US in Dec 2011.

Chief Classic: The Chief Classic comes with a full chrome engine package. The paint options offered are Thunder Black with Silver Script and Indian Red with Gold Script. Styling incs: Chromed teardrop halogen headlamp, Long fenders, Die-cast console - color matched, Black and polished engine with chrome covers, Chromed spoke wheels, Traditional black wall tires, Two-into-one stainless steel exhaust system and Indian script tank design.

Tue Jul 26. Victory releases new 2012 models. All Victory models across the board feature the 106-cubic-inch Freedom V-Twin engine and Six-Speed Overdrive transmission. Each Victory is designed with a low seating height and with a low centre of gravity for easy responsive handling at all speeds.

Wed Jul 20. More Harley-Davidson Models with twin cam 103 power in 2012. Harley-Davidson offers more Big Twin performance for 2012 as its Twin cam 103 powertrain is standard equipment on softail, Touring & Dynaglide models (except StreetBob & Dynaglide Custom). Harley-Davidson will offer two new models for 2012. The V-Rod 10th Anniversary edition celebrates a decade of power-cruiser performance while the new Dyna Switchback is a convertible custom-touring motorcycle with detachable hard saddlebags and windshield.
